No War on Cuba!
The imperialist rollback against Latin America is gaining momentum: more and more rightwing governments, subservient to the US and backed by big capital, are coming to power.
Following the abduction of President Maduro, Venezuela has effectively been placed under complete US control. The United States is intensifying its economic war against Cuba, which stands in the way of imperialistic aggression; an energy blockade, increasing sanctions and financial sabotage are driving the island into a dramatic supply crisis. Hospitals lack electricity, fuel and medicines, and the consequences are costing lives. At the same time, the US is openly threatening war.
Yet Cuba refuses to yield. For more than six decades, the socialist revolution has withstood this aggression, making the rebellious island an obstacle to US plans for global war and proof that a different form of society is possible. Despite mounting adversity, the revolution maintains a healthcare and education system that is not subject to profit. This living socialist alternative radiates outward – and for precisely this reason becomes a danger to the empire.
